Hot Stove Edition · January 3 · from the makers of Tearing Up the Pea Patch
JANUARY 3 · NO GAME ON THE RECORD
In 228 calendar dates baseball has ever been played, January 3 is not one of them. The Committee has checked every season since 1871. The last game before this date on the calendar was played on November 1; the next is March 18.
The stove is lit. The deal is not. The Pea Patch deals every day of the year, including this one.
